Edward A. King (Ed, Eddie), 79, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY. He was born on March 27,1946 in Ticonderoga, NY, the son of the late Dayton King and the late Mary (Wojewodzic) King.
Eddie spent his entire life in Port Henry, NY. He attended PH High School. He could be found in the woods hunting, ice fishing, or out at the North Hudson Racetrack. He had a fondness for cars which include Camaros, El Caminos, and Toyota Celicas. Ed was a member of the Lake Champlain Fish and Game Club "Chever Hole".
Ed worked over 25 years as a Caretaker for St. Patrick's Parish. After retiring from there, he worked at the Ti Country Club. He was also a member of the National Guard for over 5 years.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, John King.
Eddie is survived by his brother, Richard King (Brenda); sister, Margaret Porter; sister-in-law, Sharyn King; niece, Rebecca (Joseph) Pray and nephews, John (Suzie) King (CeCe & Ben), and Cody and Cory Porter; 2 daughters, Amy Manfred (Richard) and Kellie Valentine (Caine); 4 grandchildren, MiKenna, Declan and Boden Valentine and Garrett Beebe; several cousins and an aunt. He was also survived by a special cousin, Beverly (King) Mattison, that remained by his side to the very end.
Arrangements are under the care of Harland Funeral Home. There will be no services at this time. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
