Edward F. Glavin age 77, passed away on Dec 11,2020 after suffering a stroke in Winston Salem NC. Ed was the 6th child of Dr. James and Cecelia Glavin of Port Henry NY. he is survived by his wife Lois [Harris] and sisters and brothers. Judy & Tony Lemza of Port Henry NY, Jim of Kansas City KS. Joe & Fonn of Houston TX. Kathy Henry of Beaufort SC. Tom & Marie of Atascadero CA. and David & Sheri of Phoenix AZ. He is also survived by 2 step children, Brian Dennis and Misty VanHoyt along with 4 step grandchildred. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Sisters, Anne, Pat, Peg, Sarah  and brother Michael.

Ed was born and raised in Port Henry and graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in Plattsburgh NY. He graduated from the Academy of Aeronautics in Queens NY with an Associate Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He went on to work for Mc Donald Aircraft in St Louis, Missouri where he was a Lead Supervisor on  the production line for the F- 4 Phantom fighter used by the Navy and USAF. Ed Later used his flight training  for the Federal Aviation Administration where he was an airline check pilot. As a flight examiner he gave check rides and proficiency check to pilots of all the major airlines .He retired from the FAA.

Ed and Lois spent their retirement years between North Carolina and Florida.

Because of the pandemic, services will be private.
