Deanna E. (Gonyeau) Joiner passed away December 17th, 2020 at Glens Falls Hospital
following a brief illness.
Born on May 19, 1941 in Ticonderoga, she was the daughter of the late George and
Edna (Rhoades) Gonyeau.
Deanna was a 1958 graduate of Crown Point High School. Following graduation, she
served in the United States Air Force. She was stationed in Tacoma, Washington, prompting her love of the Pacific Northwest and Seattle sports teams. She worked in several places around the community, retiring from Wal-Mart. She was an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, VFW Burnell Ross Post, the Crown Point Methodist Church, the First Congregational Church of Crown Point, and the Ticonderoga Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, volunteering at the senior
center, and having lunch with her friends Laura and Jean.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Lester “Judd” Joiner.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Levi Raker of Miamisburg, OH and Lizabeth
(Scott) Colvin of Fort Edward, NY; her stepchildren Jason Joiner & his fiancee Brandy
Plumadore of Ticonderoga, NY and Lisa (Kenneth) Livecy of Columbus, GA; her siblings;
Connie (Don) Bishop & George (Marcia) Gonyeau of Crown Point, NY; 10 grandchildren; 5
great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on July 30, 2021 at 11:00 in Ironville Cemetery in Crown Point, NY.
