1956-2023

Dale M. Johnson,67, of Moriah Center passed away on December 12, 2023, at Glens Falls Hospital.

He was born in California and later moved to Peru, NY where he graduated. He served in the US Navy for 2 ½ years and was a true Patriot loving his Country.

He worked at CVPH as Head Cook for 13 years and from there worked at Moriah Correctional Facility for 29 years also as Head Cook.

Dale was an Avid Sports Fan. His teams were the Red Sox and the Raiders.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Johnson; stepdaughter Juslyn (Joe) Murphy; grandchildren Dylan and Jaden Murphy; sisters Cindy Rougeau and Linda Bates; brother Stephen Bates; and nephew Jayme Rushford.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Mineville immediately after the services.
