Dale Hall Obituary

Crown Point

It is with deep sorrow that we must announce the passing of Dale Allen Hall: a tall man who cast a long shadow, easy to love and impossible to forget.

Dale was a 46er, born and raised in the Adirondacks. His early experiences with the animals from his family's farm shaped his enduring love for all creatures, great and small. He would go on to become an Adirondack trail guide, a loving father and devoted husband.

Dale lived with his hands in the earth and his eyes on the horizon. He was a gentle hippie with a blue-collar backbone, the kind of man who could operate heavy machinery by day and then come home and whip up a dinner worthy of a five-star restaurant. He knew how to build—houses, roller coasters, and solutions to problems most people wouldn’t know where to start. His curiosity ran deep; he wanted to know how things worked, why they mattered, and how he could make them better. His wanderlust took him across the country, but no matter how far he traveled, he always found his way back to hearth and home.

Dale is survived by his indefatigable loving partner Lisa, his loving son Andrew and grandchildren Aurora and Arlo, his faithful daughter Jessica, and the thousands of people whose lives he improved in ways great and small. Additionally, he is survived by the son of his first wife, Dale Jr.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at Norton Brook Cemetery in Keene, New York, where Dale has been laid to rest among the mountains he cherished all his life. The forest was his refuge, the peaks his compass—and now, he rests in the heart of the Adirondacks, the land that shaped him and never stopped calling him home.
