Catherine “Kay” M. Manley

Catherine “Kay” Manley passed away peacefully at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by her family on July 18, 2023. She was a loving and caring wife, life partner, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Deliah Dougal; her husbands Martin A. Thompson and Morris Manley; her loving fiancé, Raymond Lang, her daughter Donna J. Bazicki and her son Kerry B. Thompson and her brothers and sisters.

Kay was a full-time wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking as well as fishing, dancing, playing darts and watching the Dallas Cowboys play. She was a loving and supportive part of all of her family’s lives and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Linda Mead (Ron), Martin K. Thompson (Sharon), Michele A. Dunican (Gary Thomas Jr.) and Michael D. Thompson (Eileen), her 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Elizabethtown Community Hospital and CVPH Medical Center for the compassionate and tender care given to both Kay and her family while she was in their care.

There will be a private viewing. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Port Henry on July 25th at 11:00 am. Kay will be laid to rest beside her husband Morris Manley. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Kay’s name to the charity of choice.
