Carol O. (Osborne) Davis

Carol O. Davis, 92, of Terre Haute and formerly of Port Henry, NY passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020.  She was born April 17, 1928 in New York City to Alan Osborne and Olive Nixon Osborne.  Her husband, Richard Davis, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Jim Donohue of Terre Haute;  three daughters-in-law, Dollie Davis, Margie Davis and Sue Davis;  her brother, Tom Osborne (Mae);  seven grandchildren, Carol Adkins (Art), Heather Bushong (Jake), Richard Davis, Shannon Caponera (Nick), Joseph Davis, Patrick Donohue and Kelly Donohue;  and five great-grandchildren, Brady, Zach, Konner and Remington Bushong and Cora Caponera; and several nephews and a niece. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sons, Anthony Davis, Richard Davis, Nelson Davis and her grandson Kevin Donohue.

Carol spent most of her life in New York where she was a member of St. Patrick Church of Port Henry, New York, and Moriah Country Club, where she played golf for more than 50 years.  She also was a member of the Moriah Ambulance Squad and worked on the Moriah Youth Commission where she was a director.  Carol enjoyed bass fishing on Long Pond, New York, and even once shot a bear in the Adirondack Mountains.  She also enjoyed The New York Times Sunday crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, bowling and spending time with her friends in Port Henry, who were like family to her.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Westminster Village staff  5th floor assisted living, especially Tammy and Carla, as well as the nurses in the Westminster Health Center and Hands that Serve, for their loving care of Carol.
