Obituary

Beatrice (Trombley) Gilbo, passed away at UVM Medical Center in Burlington Vermont, on Wednesday September 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. 

Bea was born May 18, 1951, to the late Frederick Trombley and Beatrice Stark. Bea was raised by her Grandma Blanchard due to her mother's passing shortly after her birth. 

Bea worked for the Gilbo family hardware store for several years. She then worked at the Essex County Mental Health Clinic as a senior receptionist for 25 years until her retirement. 

Throughout the years, Bea was involved with the Town of Moriah Youth Commission and was a 4-H leader for several years, positively influencing many youths lives.

Bea married Stanley Gilbo III on September 28, 1974, they would have celebrated their 49th anniversary in just a few weeks.

Bea is survived by her loving husband Stanley, daughters Jessica and Amanda (David), grandsons Colin (Kylee), Brandon (Hope), Aidan and baby David, her great grandchildren , Carter, Coraline, Charlotte Beatrice, Colin Jr and Cayden. Bea is also survived by her sisters Gloria Blanchard-Noel and Denise Baeriswyl and brother Dennis Trombley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Bea was predeceased by her parents, her sister Joyce and her niece Brenda.

There will be no calling hours, per her wishes. The family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday September30th at 2pm at the Moriah Country Club.

Donations in Bea’s memory may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad or the North Country SPCA in Elizabethtown, NY.
