Barbara Ann Pooler, 81, of Ensign Pond Road, Moriah Center, passed away on June 13,2023, at Helen Port Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury, VT with her family by her side. Born February 4, 1942, in Cheever, NY. She is survived by her daughter Erin Pooler-Prevette (John Hickey), grandchildren Mikayla Pooler (Josh Peters), Curtis Prevette, and adopted granddaughter Trisha Lacey, great grandchildren Jadon Tefoe, Jonah Pooler, Jordan Prevette, Sandra Taylor, and Joshua Peters.

She was predeceased by her husband Edwin Pooler, parents Harold and Estelle Hughes, parents-in-law Karl and Grace Pooler, and her brother Bruce Hughes.

Barbara and Ed were married February 27, 1960. She briefly worked for Simmonds in Vergennes, VT and then was a homemaker.

She enjoyed gardening, watching the weather channel and food network, and her cats she had over the years.

A special thank you goes out to Meagan Moses for helping her in the last few years when she moved to Moses Circle apartments and Trisha Lacey for always being there. A big thank you to Lamoille Ambulance Service on both sides of the lake for your excellent care and being there for us and her when we needed you the most. Thank you to Helen Porter Healthcare for the excellent care in her last days.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Church in Port Henry.
