Anthony P. Tompkins, 73 of Ticonderoga NY passed away on January 25,2025 in the comfort of his home after a courageous  battle with brain cancer. Born in Easton Maine, Tony joined the United States Army at an early age and after serving in the Vietnam War he spent most of his life as a logger by trade and worked various jobs with his most recent job being with The Green Thumb Program, based out of Crown Point NY, which he enjoyed very much. Over the years Tony was a member of the Elk’s and had received an Elk of the year award. He was part of The Hague Fish & Game club and always enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or doing gardening & yard work. Tony was a hard worker and loved his family very much. He was always the first one to lend a hand or do a favor for a friend or even a stranger, he will be missed by many. 

      Tony is survived by his wife and best friend Tammy Tompkins (Peters), his five daughters, Jennifer Charlton (Daniel Charlton) Jody Belden(Mark Belden) Rebecca Thatcher(Jeremy Thatcher) Katie Tompkins, and Jessica Tompkins; his grandchildren Carter Belden, Miley Belden, Keegan Thatcher, Isaiah Thatcher, Jayse Thatcher, Prestin Thatcher, Taylor, Tristan, Sydney, Phoenix, and Ethan and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Diane Johns (Robert), Marie Tompkins(Wayne),Glenna Parlin(John), Kimberly Tompkins, and John Tompkins(Tammy) and a very close brother in law Matthew Peters and several nieces and nephews.

     Tony is pre-deceased by his grandparents Samual and Beatrice Good and John and Hazel Tompkins, his mother and father Verna Good Tompkins and Murray Tompkins. His brothers Fred Tompkins, Dick Tompkins, Troy Tompkins, Samual Tompkins, and his sisters Dorene Tompkins and Delores Tompkins. 

    There will be no services at the request of Anthony and his family. There will be a celebration of life in June 2025 for family and friends.
