Aloha LaPorte Obituary

Aloha M. LaPorte, 61, of Mineville, passed away Monday October 17, 2022 peacefully at her home after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, with her love of 32 years, Hank Tompkins, by her side.

She was born May 12, 1961 in Ticonderoga, NY, the daughter of Eva M. Morin and Emile Morin. Aloha worked for her brother Deans construction company for many years doing black topping.

Aloha is known to everyone as "Peanut". She had such a beautiful, vibrant personality, that everyone she met felt as if they had known her for years. Peanut had a crazy love for bright funky colors, dancing in the rain, jumping in mud puddles, thunderstorms and laying out under the stars with her children. She loved lawn sales, walking and jogging all over Mineville and Moriah, and working out at the gym. Peanut was a huge animal lover. From rescuing dogs, to feeding squirrels and racoons out of her hand and talking with the birds. Her wolves were her babies. Peanut was the most trusting, loyal friend anyone could ever have. A true genuine friend who was calm and kind but had no fear telling you how it was and definitely no sugar coating. True honesty and when she gave her word, she kept it till the end. Peanut was an amazing Artist. Drawings and paintings she would work on for hours and days. Not many people knew, she was also an amazing writer and had a great love for poetry. For any situation she had the perfect quote or poem to go with it. Peanut was an amazing friend, Mother, Granny, Great Granny, Aunt, Sister and wife. An amazingly wonderful soul has gone from us far too soon.

Aloha is survived by two daughters; Autumn Veilleux of Cambridge Vermont, Makeisha LaPorte of Port Henry, A son, Jamie Tompkins of Mineville, two grandsons, Royce and Nicholas Veilleux of Cambridge, two granddaughters; Amanda Tompkins of West Chazy, NY and Ashley Mclean of Newmarket, NH.

A brother, Cheyenne Morin of Witherbee and a sister, Aloma Manville of Port Henry. Many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren that she loved so so much.

Brothers Rocky, David, Dean and Bucky died before her. She is now peacefully reunited with her Mother, brothers, friends and puppies.
