Rose Trombley Obituary

Rose “Doris” Trombley, born in Port Henry NY on August 16th, 1942, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Gaddor, peacefully passed away at the age of 76. She was surrounded by her family at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY on December 6th, 2018.

Rose was predeceased by her parents; Thomas and Margaret Gaddor, her first husband Earl Gagnon, her second husband Leonard Trombley, her sister Beatrice Thomas, her grandson Scott Fields and her dear friend, Jean Maye.

Rose is gracefully survived by her seven children; Francis Gagnon of Witherbee, NY. Steven Gagnon (Amy) of Witherbee, NY. Ella Fields of Witherbee, NY. Stacey Gagnon (Todd) of Witherbee, NY. Lea Trombley of Witherbee, NY. Rose Trombley & Dwayne Maye ( her “Best Friend”) of Port Henry, NY. Peggy Edwards (Perry) of Port Wentworth, GA. Her brother, Joseph Gaddor (Thelma) and her special friends JoAnn, “JoJo” Perry and Travis Wells. Along with Several sister in-laws, brother in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Eleven grandchildren; Heather, Jessie, Tiffany, Brittany, Whitney, Troy, Malea, Megan, Maggie, Mataya, Mason, and eighteen great-grandchildren. As well as her beloved dog, Saddie.

Rose was a devoted and loving mother, sister, Nana, and friend. She was very proud of her family, and loved taking care of them. She loved all holidays and family get togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. Rose’s favorite foods to share were donuts and meatballs,but she was famous for her Michigan’s .

Rose was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and had a special place in her heart for Derek Jeter, expecting all her family to be devoted fans; she wouldn't talk of anything else. She once bought all of her grandchildren matching Derek Jeter jerseys.

A special Thank you to the Elizabethtown Infusion Clinic for all the love and care Rose received from Dr. Duus, Fran, and all “her nurses”. Rose will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. “My Nana has ears that truly listen, arms that always hug and hold, love that's never-ending, and a heart made of gold.”

Calling hours will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Harland Funeral Home. A funeral Mass and celebration of her life will be at St. Patrick’s Church, in Port Henry at 10am on Monday.
