Mineville- Patricia A. Nephew, 64, died Wednesday, September 12th, at CVPH, surrounded by her family, after a three year battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born October 25, 1953, in Poughkeepsie, NY, to George and Joyce (Phillips) Fuller. She was a graduate of Northville Central School and Plattsburgh State University. She was a second grade teacher at Assumption of Mary School in Redford, NY, for three years. Pat took nine years off to begin raising her three children. She returned to the profession that she loved, and was a second grade teacher at Moriah Central School for twenty-eight years. Pat was also involved in the Moriah PTSO and was a lector and religious educator at Church of All Saints.
Pat enjoyed family dinners, her pool, family vacations to the ocean, and watching her children and grandchildren play and coach sports. Although she loved her husband and children dearly, she especially loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Calvin Nephew., her son Casey (Vicki) Nephew of Moriah, NY., her son Scott (Amanda) Nephew of Mineville, NY., and her daughter Jodie (Eric) Ingleston of Crown Point, NY; also survived by grandchildren Owen, Addy, Aliya, Emmy, Lincoln, and Lauren; her uncle David (Linda) Fuller of Schenectady, NY; her two sisters Diane Vallieu and Nancy Hadland; a brother-in-law Kevin (Laura) Nephew of Redford, NY., a sister-in-law Jill (Robert) Johnson of Mattydale, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her parents; her father and mother-in-law Leonard (Rita) Nephew; her grandsons Jerek and Nolan Ingleston.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 pm, Sunday, September 16th, at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry, NY. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, on Monday, September 17th, at the Church of All Saints in Mineville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boston Children's Hospital.
