Lena was a special lady. We were members of the St Michael’s Altar and Rosary Society. Spent many hours at Mass and she gave me a gift of a rosary she brought back from the Holy Land. Loved hearing about her trip to Fatima, Portugal. We also worked for the Office for the Aging. She not only did all the menus, and prepare the food, clean up the kitchen with Alberta Orr and Lonne Bobbie. When drivers didn’t show up to deliver meals, she did that too. God Bless Lena.

Growing up on Wasson Street was a great place to be as I have fond memories of my Aunt Lena watching out for me as I played outside. When I was done playing
I would go to her house spend time with her and of course she always had a treat or two for me.. I loved playing in her yard as it was beautiful with all the flowers her lilac bush was my favorite and she would let me cut the lilacs and bring them home.
I loved sitting in her porch and watching the street. Every time we would go by I would see her in the window and we would wave. I have missed her for so many years but always in my thoughts. Love you Aunt Lena -Peace
