John T. Aurilio, 70, of Moriah, NY,  passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 28th, 2017.  

 

    John was born on February 15, 1947 in Port Henry, NY.  to the late John and Ella (Dudley) Aurilio. He is predeceased by his mother and father, and his brother Bobby "Froggy" Aurilio. 

 

    John dedicated 42 years of his life to the International Paper Mill in Ticonderoga, NY, where he retired in 2008. He was hard working and determined and was an inspiration for all who met him. He enjoyed working and being outside, as well as trips to the Casino!  He loved spending time with his family, especially his 6 Grandchildren. He was so very proud of them, they were the light of his life.

 

    John married the love of his life, Roberta (Pepper) Aurilio on October 30th, 1982. The love they shared was true, beautiful, and clearly seen by all that knew them. John is survived by his wife, Bobbie, a son, John J. Aurilio and his significant other, Anne Brace, and two daughters, Jamie Aurilio and her boyfriend Brandon Gough, and Heather (Aurilio) Rancour and her husband Robert Rancour Jr.  He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Trevor Cheney, Jordan Cheney, Hunter Cheney, Sophie Rancour, Foster Rancour, and Ellie Gough.  

 

    Calling hours will be on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at Harland Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm.  Services will be the following morning at Moriah Methodist Church at 11am, with a reception to follow at Moriah Fire Department.
