Jean H. Mazzotte 80, of Moriah Center died Tuesday Nov. 27, 2018. Surrounded by her husband and Niece, Mandi.
Born Sept. 13, 1938 in Port Henry, NY. She was the daughter of Patricia and Francis Guyette step-daughter of Morris Manley.
Jean was a 4th grade school teacher for 35 years at Moriah Central. She touched many student's lives. Her smile was contagious and everyone knew her as "Aunt Jean". She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, spending her days at the beach, going to church and singing on the choir, going for rides, crossword puzzles, scrapbooking, and being with the most important person in her life- Jillian Jean. They were best buddies and did everything together. Jillian was the apple of her eye.
Jean is survived by her husband, Bruno Mazzotte of 44years. Her great Niece (like her daughter), Mandi and Josh of Moriah. Her great great niece, Jillian Jean. Her Brother James and Sara Guyette of Ticondeoga, sister Patricia (Cookie) and Bob Blaise of Plattsburgh, her Niece Lisa and Martin Kedmenec of Witherbee, Niece Tina (Marty & Luke) of Macedon Ny, Niece Karen, CJ and Emily of Peru, Peter Mazzotte her step son of Port Henry and many other nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
Jean always had a smile and a nice thing to say about everyone. She was such a strong and beautiful person. She was always so positive about everything. She will be greatly missed!
Calling hours will be Thursday, Nov 29th 5-7 at Harland's Funeral home and a mass will be held Friday Nov 30th at St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry at 11a.m. A celebration of Jean's wonderful life will be held at the St. Patrick's parrish hall after. Jean was a beautiful amazing Kind-hearted Lady who will be missed by many and always remembered!
