Gerald W. Wojewodzic

Gerald W. Wojewodzic, 63, of Moriah, NY passed away on Sunday, June 23rd 2019 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY surrounded by his family.

Gerry was born on March 4th 1956 in Ticonderoga, NY to Walter and Florence Wojewodzic. Gerry is survived by his siblings Thomas (Diane) Wojewodzic and Kathryn Veneto both of Port Henry, NY, his children  David (Kayleigh) Wojewodzic of Chazy, NY and Alan (Kelly) Wojewodzic of Colonie, NY. Gerry is also survived by his companion of many years, Faye Cushing, three grandchildren Gannon, Lily, and Anna as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Gerry was a graduate of Moriah Central School and SUNY Canton, and was employed as a NYS Corrections officer for 25 years. Gerry was an avid outdoorsman and upon retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family and caring for any animal that crossed his path. He enjoyed travelling to coastal  Maine and cooking. Gerry will be remembered most for his sense of humor, storytelling and caring nature.

At Gerry’s request there will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Monday July 1st at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Port Henry, NY.
