Passed away on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at UVMHN, Burlington, VT
She was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 9, 1930, the daughter of Frank & Myrtle (Bilby)

Mary retired from the Town Clerk’s Office of Moriah after working for many years. In her earlier
years she enjoyed working at Davis’s Clothing Store and Village Bazaar.

She was a member of The Town of Moriah Senior Citizen’s Club. She enjoyed Bingo, playing

planning family meals and holiday events. She received an iPad as a gift and then was able to
follow her children & grandchildren on Facebook.
She loved sports and everything Michigan - Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons and Michigan
Wolverines. She met the love of her life while rooting on her brother “Sonny” and his
teammates with the Triple A Baseball affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers in Wausau, Wisconsin.
It was a blind date with a “good guy who would not get serious”. Eight months later she would
marry this guy, Walter Henry Gilbo, Sr on February 24, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan.
