Isabel K. (Sierra) Perez

Isabel K. Perez,90, passed away Oct. 1, 2017 at the Inter-Lakes Health Home in Ticonderoga, NY. Special thanks to the staff for the great care she received.

Isabel was born to Crispin and Maria Sierra June 1, 1927 in Witherbee, NY. She was a graduate of Mineville High School. She was a parishioner at St. Mary’s of Moriah and later St. Patrick’s of Port Henry.

For many years, Isabel was employed by the “Green Thumb” serving meals to seniors at the Port Henry train station. Playing pinochle, bingo, crossword puzzles and watching “the Golden Girls” were her favorite hobbies. Isabel will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for family and friends and her great sense of humor.

Isabel was predeceased by her husband Manuel Perez, parents Crispin and Maria Sierra, brothers Enrique, Vincent and sister Amelia Rice. Her surviving family are her children Gloria P. Snide, loving son-in-law Joseph E. Snide of Yorktown, Va., Jean P. Williamson of Hampstead, MD and Manuel V. Perez of Moriah, NY, her sisters, Beatrice Korszun and Manuella Sears both reside in Schenectady, NY; also there are 4 grandsons, Joe Jr., Brian, Kevin and Ryan; 4 great grandsons, Christopher, Austin, Dillon, and Zachary; 3 great great grandchildren, Marley, Eliana and Castiel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well.

Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 5 at 11:30 am at St. Patrick’s Church in Port Henry, NY. Contributions may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad or Alzheimer Association.
